Ok … way to turn on Laila, there, Kim … or are you jealous? Maybe that would explain this rather … extreme turn-around in attitude from the beginning of the story. Hmmm. And why WOULDN’T they want Laila’s help in deciphering the text? What do they have against her, anyway – hasn’t she shown time and again that she means them no harm? Grump …

  2. warnie says:

Honestly,I don’t think she has an extreme problem.

I understand her perfectly. As someone who’s parents were murdered by vampires, its only natural she would have an apathy and deep distrust of all things vampire. How could she be otherwise?

Added to that,She does work in the bureau of evil elimination, which cant help but bring out her cynical side as well. When one deals daily with evil, it does become much harder to differentiate between the group and the individual. She wades daily through the cess pool of evil, she cant help but be suspicious.

Added to all that, There could be a healthy dosage of jealousy and worry for her brother as well.

  3. Katy says:

I’m talking about Kimmy, not the dark-haired girl. Kimmy was Laila’s lover at the very beginning of the story, so that is why I was saying this was an extreme turn-around …

  4. warnie says:

    Er ….sorry about that.

    My mistake.
